Bpc Toolkit For Load Runner Tutorial
We are currently using LoadRunner for performance testing. The LoadRunner setup consists of the Controller installed on a physical machine and the LoadRunner agents installed on a set of physical machines and VMs.
We also plan to use VS2010 for performance testing. If the VS2010 Test Controller is installed on the same machine as the LoadRunner Controller and the VS2010 agents are installed (setup as a service) on the same set of machines as the LoadRunner agents would there be: 1. Any issues during VS2010 TestController/agent installation due to the existing LoadRunner installation. Any issues in running the LoadRunner Controller and VS2010 TestController on the same machine at the same time, executing load tests 3. Any issues in launching virtual users using VS2010 agent service and virtual users using LoadRunner agent service from the same machine at the same time. Any other LoadRunner v/s VS 2010 compatibility issues if both tools are setup on the same hardware.

Thanks, - Mrunal Mrunal. Hi, We are on BPC EPM 10 SP8(NW Version) and we have added few BI reports into the Documents folder on BPC NW portal. We have used the info-objects(/CPMB/*) created by the BPC dimension in these BI reports.
Our objective is that these BI reports should display the data as per BPC security from BPC admin Console. These reports are not taking the BPC security for dimensions into consideration and are displaying all the members. All the BPC users have access to difference entities based on their member access profile in BPC and our goal is to use the same security for the BI reports and these reports are published as web reports under the document folder. Please suggest how we can meet our objective considering BPC and BI are tightly integrated in the NW version. HiWe have created a Custom Menu in SAP BPC V5.1 SP7, BPC for Excel.
When we run it, eachtime we open a report or schedule accessed from the custom menu it doesnot automatically expand and refresh on open so does not update the current view. We need to manually expand and refresh each time.
This is despite the fact that we have set this in the workbook options of each of the reports and schedules. However if we try opening the same reports orschedules from the eAnalyze or eSubmit menus respectively they expandand refresh on open as expected. If we use the custom menu in test mode then it also works as expected by expanding and refreshing. Is there a known bug with the custommenus or is there a setting that I need to change to get this to work?Kind RegardsWayne Newall. I am sorry, but to get your issue more exposure, I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums, since this is a commercial product. You can do this at LoadRunner / Performance Center.I hope this helps.
Thank you for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day! Well, it seems it can't be done with 'Audit Activity Report' but with BPC Management Console reachable at the url: users' logs must be activated and they are traced into the AppServer table BPCLog.Considering on BPC Management Console it's written:'For performance reasons, do not enable debugging logs on an open-ended basis in a production environment. Enable debugging logs for just the minimum time needed to complete your analysis.' I think I can obtain a similar result (a very simple users access log) reading IIS logs as Microsoft suggested:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/296085. When I work from home I can get into all BPC modules When I work from the office, however, I can get into BPC administration fine but cannot access BPC for Excel (or word or PP). I get the usual logon after launching BPC for Excel and enter the same credentials as for BPC admin, but after trying to retrieve application set data BPC returns me to the login screen, no error message.
I realise that there can be a myriad of differences between the office network and my home network. My question is: If I can successfully connect to BPC administration what is preventing access to BPC for Excel?
Does BPC for Excel use a different connection method (ports?) than BPC admin? Hi All,I am checking into the Audit reports and they are not showing any data from last 7 days.
I also checked the scheduler and it seems that it is not synchronized too.The settings are proper. The by default settings is for error. And the audit activity didn't gave any error. I RESTART OSoftAudit component from the Component Services but that didn't work. Also i tried looking into the trace logs in client machine but it didn't helped much.
I am now looking into the BPC exception errors that are written into the SQL table tblLogs of the database AppServer but not sure how much that will help. Please suggest how this can be resolved and what should be my direction. Thanks Rajesh. I've just turned on the Data Audit functionality in BPC. We're on 7.0, Microsoft SQL DB.
I'm able to run the Audti reports from the BPC Web. However, no one in our company has ever used BPC Web and ideally, I'd like people to be able to run these reports though Excel. If I click on the eAnalyze button after logging into BPC, I see an option on the menu for 'Audit Reports', but it's greyed out.
I'm logging in as our System Admin, who has full access to everything. Why would this option be greyed out? And does anyone know how to activate it?
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks Tim and Petar for your recommendations. I tried them all and the application still will not enable that option.
I logged a ticket wtih SAP and found out this is a known bug. Here's what I got back from them: 'I looked this up and it's a known bug. According to the internal developers notes, it was supposed to be fixed in SP05, but appeared again somehow in SP08. The fix is scheduled to land in SP10, currently due in May. So your workaround at this point is to have them use BPC Web.'
Looks like this isn't going to work no matter what I try. Thanks for everyone's help, though! Hi there, Has anyone had expierience with archiving the Data Audit logs. We have had it going for a few months now and already have millions of records. The web report now fails more often than not.
There is a 'Data Audit Purge' frequescy per category. - What does this do exactly?
- Does it just move the audit data to the Archive table, or does it delete the data? - Does it move everything older than the specified days (i.e. 60 days mean that audit data older that 60 days gets moved), or is it every 60 days it clears the audit data logs? Is there a process where we can mange the archiving?
Ideally we'd like only the last 60 days audit trail in the main table, but I don't know if this is possible. Best regards Tim. Hi, I have a question about the data audit reports. I have switched on audit for one of my appset and chose 2 paticluar category's to carryout the audit, set data purge flag to no, followed all the standards as the manuals show. I have run BPC, run reports and input schedules and saved data. After which I run the data audit reports and there is nothing.
I have full admin rights, even logged on as sysadmin user to see if that makes a difference, nothing. Am I missing something, in these cases its usually something really simple! Good morning: We are on BPC 7.5 Netweaver (not Microsoft) and need visibility of what users are on line in BPC (users logged in Excel client). Per SDN that functionality is available in BPC 7.5 for Microsoft under the BPC 7.0 MANAGEMENT CONSOLE per I reviewed the audit reports and table UJA_LOGGED_ON but that does not provide users logged in through Excel (seen as BPC ADMIN in BW user list SM04) Is there any transactions/reports providing the same functionality as the 'Who is online' feature in BPC 7.5 for Netweaver e.g. Users on line in BPC (users logged in Excel client).? Thank you Catherine.
It seems that to Load Test rich clients using VS Team Test requires the use of unit tests. How does doing this compare to the sort of load tests that you develop using the web test record/playback or a tool like Mercury Loadrunner. We have LoadRunner but no DotNet licenses so we are stuck either buying DotNet from Mercury ($$$) or using Visual Studio's load testing. We are in an evaluation stage, and none of our developers have built any unit tests, so we can't try to actually run them to see what the capabilities are.
Can I get feedback about the scope of loadtesting DotNet for both client/server apps and web apps? Thanks in advance. Hi, I've been working with HP LoadRunner for few years and familiar with reports generated by LoadRunner. X-axis in most of graph reports is Elapsed scenario time. I've been evaluating VSTS 2010 Ultimate for LoadTest seeing whether I can use it to replace LR. I don't see anyway that I can generate report with Elapsed time as X-axis in result reports; for example, I want to have - Average Response Time vs Elapsed time, CPU Utilization vs Elapsed time Available Memory vs Elapsed time.
Can someone give me some guidance on this? Thanks, Quoc.
Hi Quoc, There are two methods to create Load Test with scenario time. Manually Create a Load Test Report with Microsoft Word. Just as Tims suggestion. Create reports using Microsoft Excel. You could create Excel load test reports in two ways: (a) After complete a load test, click Create Excel Report button in the toolbar in the Load Test Result Page.
(b) Create report with the Generate a load Test Report wizard with Microsoft Excel. For more information, see If there is any question, please feel free to tell me. Rajashekar wrote: Is the NI test stand really required?
Cant i use only theDatabase toolkit? Yes; I'm sorry for being unclear.
The only reason I mentioned TestStand was that it writes tests to a database based on thetest type (see attachment). Uut_result contains overall test result - each unit you test will have one record in this table for each time you test itstep_result contains the result for anindividual test - each unit will have many entries here related to the overall test in uut_resultthe remaining ten tables contain the data for each different test type - these tables will only have entries if a stepmatches its type. You don't need ten other tables, only one for each table format. Your task isn't trivial, but it won't be too complicatedif you understand relational databases. JimYou're entirely bonkers.
But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are. Hi experts, I have switched on audit for my appset and configure the audit for different categories.
This is the current configuration: After configuring data audit, I have run BPC, run reports, run different packages and saved data with input schedules. After which I run the data audit reports and works fine for the info modified with packages but the audit report doesn't show the info about the records saved and modified through the input schedules. I must be missing something obvious but can't figure it out. Thanks in advance Iker. Does anyone have any practical experience in using the e-TEST suite - I'm especially interrested in the e-Load component and would like to understand it's scope of features and ease of use. All, We are running on SAP BPC 5.0 sp10. While downloading patch upgrade(SP10) from SAP site, we notice that we can also download SAP BPC 7.0 M. We thought it is good idea to upgrade to SAP BPC 7.0 M but before moving in to direction I have some questions.
What are the potential risks in upgrading 5.0 SP10 to SAP BPC 7.0 M? Is it a smooth upgrade? Do we need to change our input schedule / Reports for SAP BPC 7.0 M?
What SQL version we need to upgrade to SAP BPC 7.0 M? If anyone of you already done that please share your issues etc. We are R/3 shop and we are running SAP NW. When we are going to the following path. I expect to see SAP BPC NW which is not there?
Also do we need to purchase it? The only difference I can tell in NW we have BI integration whereas BPC 7.0 Microsoft doesnu2019t have BI/NW. Download BPC 7.0 SP01 To download BPC 7.0 SP01, perform these steps: 1. Go to the SAP Service Marketplace Software Distribution Center at and navigate through the left panel following this path: Download Support Packages and Patches Entry by Application Group 2. To download the server portion of the installation, do the following: a) Choose SAP Application Components SAP BPC FOR SAP NETWEAVER SAP BPC 7.0 FOR SAP NETWEAVER SAP CPM BPC 7.0 Win32.

From the audit reports (default reports), I can see the audit data consisting of user (who applied the change), operation, machine etc. But I can not see actual data that was been changed. Audit report shows the SQL statement that is executed but with the bind variables which is not understandable by any consumers of the audit reports. On the other hand if I provision the source tables to provide me old and new values based on FGA auditing then I do get what has been changed as rows of column name, old value and new value.
However, now it does not provide the application user details such as username, machine etc. Effectively this information on its own is of no use as it tells me that something has changed but I cannot figure out that who has changed it.I am looking for some information as to how audit data is stored in the tables in both above scenarios. If we get hold of information stored in the Audit Vault database then probably we can develop a custom report which will combine the two ends.
Any suggestions in connection with the above issue may please be emailed to amin_atif@hotmail.comRegards,Atif. Hi,We have configured Oracle Audit Vault for our E-Business Suit implementation.

In order for Audit Reports to be viewed there needs to be a Template Folder setup in Reporting Services. This can be achieved by enabling Audit within 'Manage Audit Trail' in Web Administration. If this has already been done then you should disable it first, update, and then enable it again.
This will automatically create the files within Reporting Services. Once this is complete you can try to run the audit reports again.

For these BPC Application /templates, we do have the corresponding Virtual cubes in our BW systems (NW 7.01). We went ahead and built BEx Queries on top of the virtual cubes for BPC. We have also created WEbi reports in BI 4.0 out of these BEx queries, and the important point is 'we want the same data level security in BPC to be applied to Webi reports, as we have in our BPC 7.5 system.
Could you please advise how to acheive this or point us to any docs? Please advise. Dear Experts, I have a number of questions regarding SAP BPC. I hope that some of you guys have the answer(s) for me. - How many journals i can use within one Application?
- Are there any diffrences regarding how hierarchies are handled within SAP BPC NW versus SAP BPC MS? - Where can is set the option to make use of the comments. Is this in AppSet (web parameters) or Application (web parameters) - Which audit functions are available in SAP BPC 7.5 NW and where can they be accessed and activiated? - When i have a very large data set and want to calculated the Revenue (Sales x Profit) which option is then preffered? Default logic or Dimension Formulas? - What is the difference between the UJT_CHECK_TABLE_ENTRIES and UJA_DATA_CHECKER?
Many, many thanks. Hi, Let me try to answer your questions as far as I can. You can a single journal template for each application. If you already have a template, and then if you try to create another, it will delete the previous template.
You dont need to set any parameter to use comments. You can post comments to a data region using various ways (using BPC function, through BPC web) BPC has Data auditing and Activity auditing. You will get more information on these from the below links from help.sap: However, before you can see these reports, you need to publish these reports through BPC Web Admin.
For a large number of records, having the code in the default logic might impact the performance. Because this code will run everytime a data is sent to the database. However, the decision of using script logic or dimension formula depends on other things as well. It is not only dependent on the number of records.
However, if only this is the concern, then I will go with the dimension formula. The Program UJT_CHECK_TABLE_ENTRIES checks the number of entries in each of the BPC related tables for a particular appset.
The program UJA_DATA_CPC related tables for a particular appset. It checks the consistencies in the meta data, business rules, dimension data, the file structure (UJFS), etc. Hope this helps.
Hi All, I am new to the SAP BPC world, and I am trying to understand the steps involved in these phases(Planning, budgeting and forecasting). Please correct me if I am wrong anywhere. Assuming that the project involved is Planning for Sales expense and Sales Revenue and generating reports( Balance Sheet and PL) Steps: Create Dimensions( C, A, T, E, Input Currency, Audit Trail, Reporting currency, InterCO,Sub-table) Load Properties and Members Create Models- Sales Revenue, Sales Expense, Reporting and Rate Map Dimensions and Models Design a input form Load actual data ( bring it in through a flat file)- Use a data manger package Now we have the actual data in Excel add in; My understanding gets fuzzy after this. Please help!!! Now what are the next steps?
What do you as a BPC developer do with the data? What do you do first, budgeting, forecasting or planning? What happens after each of these steps? Where does the data go after you do budgeting, planning or forecasting? How do you use the allocation logic here? If this is a top down planning, what is the script logic used? Who is able to view this planned data?
( Which hierarchy in the entity structure?) Looking forward to a lot of expert inputs. Thanks in advance. Hi Kimi, I'm glad it helped, please find my answers in italic. Regarding the step sequences, the normal scenario would be fist to set Strategical Planning, lets say of next 3, 5 or 10 years. How would this take place? I am doing sales planning.
Category: Actual Account: Sales Expense (Would my account dimension here have just the list of all expenses related to sales and nothing else? Time: 2012 Entity: Worldwide( This is the parent) The hierarchy is WW---Region--Country-- Area) Report currency: USD I design the input form and load transactional data via DM package. Now what is exactly happening with this data? Being a BPC developer what are we doing here? Are we required to write any script logic here? If yes or no, could you please explain with a scenario? If It's not specifically required by business user, you should normally do nothing with Actual data.
However, one option could be to use Actual data as basis for Planning, meaning copy data from Category ACTUAL to Category PLANNINGXX. The input form you design will have columns that retrieve Actual data for past years (no input on these columns), and column for future years with PLANNING XXX Category for data entry. For the Entity Hierarchy bear in mind that for planning data entry you need the base level members, you can't input amounts on calculated members. Then after planning, it's the turn of setting the Budget for the next year.
Usually this is done to a more granular level, but it's not necessarily so. What is the basis of setting a budget?
What is a BPC developer doing in this phase?e.g. If under planning we want to reduce our expenses by 30% for FY 2013, what happens when we want to budget for it?I believe this is where the allocation script logic comes in picture, where the budget needs to be allocated?
Is my understanding correct? Well, it really depends from the process, you could either copy the planning on the budget category and factoring for 0.7 (cut expenses of 30%) with a script logic or you could star another bottom-up process What is the basis of setting a forecast? What is a BPC developer doing in this phase? Or how are we doing it in BPC10.0 Same as above. Bottom line: there are several things you could do, but you should definetely start gathering business requirements. Hope it helps. Best regards.
As part of an ACF, we've deployed a DCP to a large pilot group. The DCP has successfully collected inventory information, and, for the most part, has not presented any issues in the client's environment. However, computers in the QA department running HP LoadRunner have experienced problems. Specifically, LoadRunner generates the following error: lr_bridge.exe - Entroy Point Not Found - The procedure entry point LoggerStart could not be located in the dynamic link library logger.dllThe head of the QA department went through multiple test in order to get the two components (LoadRunner and the DCP) to work together. These were: 1.:- Uninstalled Microsoft ACT 5.5 Data Collector Tested ok 2:- Uninstalled Loadrunner Re-Installed Loadrunner Tested ok 3.:- Uninstalled Loadrunner Re-Installed Loadrunner Re-booted generator Failed - caused by ACT Data Collector Service running 4:- Un-installed Microsoft ACT 5.5 Data Collector Tested ok 5:- Re-Installed Microsoft ACT 5.5 Data Collector on all generators Re-booted Stopped and disabled the ACT Data Collector Service Re-booted Tested OK Now running scenario above on this configuration! So, the question is: Does anyone know HOW or WHY a DCP might cause HP LoadRunner to stop functioning? Thanks,Jess Bowers. Hi When I run the Historic reports like User Profile History it is showing the output for xelsysadm user only.
Also i checked the audit tables like UPA and UPA_* tables, these tables contains records for only these users XELSYSADM, XELOPERATOR, XELSELFREG. Appreciate inputs from people who have already created some dashboards using Dashboard Design on BPC 10.0Is EPM Connector required for connecting Dashboard designer to BPC 10.0?
If not, how to access BPC reports/input forms directly in Dashboard Design?I tried directly logging into EPM add-in in the spreadsheet in Dashboard Design. But I can't open any input forms or reports here. Am I missing any components?I also tried enabling the model as Source of data, and tried to create a query on top of it so that I can use BCIS.
Is this a good approach? I feel that there should be a simpler way to leverage the reports and input forms directly in Dashboard design.Versions:Dashboard Designer Version 6.0EPM Add-in SP12 Patch 8Thanks,Vasu.

Does anyone know if it is possible to test Hyperion Planning 11.1.1.2.20 with LoadRunner 8.1? Our testing team would like to test the editing of a Balance Sheet in Planning using this version of LoadRunner, as well as a number of other stress tests to see how the system copes. The tester has reported that they experienced issues when trying to connect to Workspace using LoadRunner. The debate in question here appears to be on whether Planning uses static or dynamic encryption.
It is thought that Hyperion uses dynamic encryption on user credentials for database logins, but that LoadRunner cannot replay the session with dynamic encryption. The tester has been unable to connect LoadRunner to Planning to achieve the testing. Unfortunately I have very limited information to hand (as you can see!), but can anyone please comment / provide thoughts on this? Is it possible?
Are these versions compatible? Can Hyperion be configured to use static encryption, and if so is this likely to help? I will provide more information on the exact nature of the error once I have heard back from the tester.

We know that SQL RS user access can be managed by windows domain, but we like to use BPC security as SQL RS user control. Thank you in advance. Sam ================================================================== Hi Sam, Could you be more specific on what you are going to do with RS?
BPC, as you know, uses Windows AD. If you intend to use RS in BPC, you have already introduced Windows AD and BPC access security for RS. But only given RS report is eligible in this case.
If you want to make a report that refers to business data of BPC, and need to pass argument as query parameter such as what category, what entity, not possible actaully, no way to make it happen with standard feature of BPC. But you can think of possibility of customizing and need to find out how to pass the argument for a user(read ACS table containing security info). The reporting tool, if you are using 7.5, BO products is aligned well.
Xcelsius and Voyager will be a tool for your requirement. Regards, YH Seo.
There is a requirement at my client to build BEx queries(like validation/exception reports) on top of BPC cubes. Just to be clear: these are NOT EVDRE reports in BPC EXCEL. If I recall correctly we can build and use regular BEx queries on BPC cubes. I read in one of help docs that during FULL optimize the original cube u2018technical nameu2019 will be deleted and a new one is created.
Not sure what happens to the existing BEx queries on BPC cube? Is there any other downside by having BEx queries on top of BPC cubes? Do you have any document or any info related to this?
Thanks in Advance KV. Hello, I am attempting to audit universe activity as some developers are changing joins and other things that are causing issues for everyone else that reports to that universe. No one is sure who is doing what within the universe so I am trying to use the auditing universe to aduit.well, universes.

Any help in pointing me in the right direction would be greatly greatly appreciated. Thank you, Aaron. We're in a state of transition where we'll have both BPC for Microsoft 7.0 and BPC for NetWeaver 7.0 deployed at the same time.
We'll use a series of SSIS packages and NetWeaver Process Chains to keep the data between the two applications in sync. At some point in the near future we will sync both systems up in BPC for NetWeaver 7.5. For the BPC MS 7 product we can still take advantage of Drill Through but will rely on a customized solution for providing detail in BPC NW 7 (based on Webi or Crystal Reports). Ideally we would like to source the detail data for both via the Business Warehouse. We can do that in Webi/Crystal Reports, but is there a way to use MSQuery to retrieve data from the Business Warehouse and use it as the source for Drill Through data in BPC MS 7? It looks like perhaps our only option is to use Native SQL Server connectivity to connect to the tables in the BW, which we would like to avoid. Does SAP provide a data driver that can be used to retrieve data from the BW using MSQuery and the standalone query files that support the Drill Through?
Thanks in advance for your help. During the installation did you specified the new instance for OLAP? Do you have an antivirus enable?
Did you add into exception the OLAP data? Did you check if the apshell sql server database was created? Make sure that during the installation you provide right name of server and instances for OLAP, SQL and RS.
My guess is that you have wrong a name of an instance. Also you have to make sure you are doing input of files necessary for restore of apshell database. Into installation guide is mentioned this remark. Regards Sorin Radulescu. Hi all, I was just wondering if there was a way (best practices) of developing BPC reports, adding dimension members other objects like BPFs in a test environment and then migrating them (both reports dim. Members) to a production environment? Is there an easy way to do this in BPC or is it just a manual process of exporting the objects?
I think that SAP has a tool that does this automatically but I'm not too sure if it works with BPC. Has there been any documents written for this specific process for any existing customers? Thanks in advance! The quick answer is 'We don't currently have what is referred to as a 'Transport' mechinism for BPC 5.x.
So, often, migration from Dev, to test, to prod is either a full appset copy or a parts migration and build. (aka, moving the files manually, building the dims and members manually etc) BPF's are based on table structures in Microsoft and must be re-built in each version if a full appset copy is not utilized. Primaily because you need to understand all the tables and components to perform this function manually if you attempt the process from the Server side, which would include clearing tables, copying tables, and hoping all the keys and sequences of all the tables are correct during and after the manual table migration.
Therefore, my preference is to migrate the APPSET at least once or twice from DEV to TEST, then ONCE from TEST to PROD. I think that future versions of both BPC 7.0 for Microsfot and Netweaver will have transport mechinisms. Have there been any change in how evget works in BPC 7 MS with SQL 2008 compared with BPC 5,1 and SQL 2005? When I use EVGET in BPC 5.1 and SQL 2005 I always get RFN# when the cell with EVGET isn't updated. But now when I'm trying BPC 7 and SQL 2008 I get i zero (0) when cell isn't updated. And some times I get another value that isn't the right value for that specific EVGET formula, seems like the system has an old value in memory thats shows, but when I update the, right value shows up in the cell. This can be a bit confusing and even worse, in some of our reports the wrong value isn't updated when report is refreshed.
Anyone with the same problem or anyone who know if there are any changes made how the data is refreshed in EVGET formulas. I have enabling activity audit how i have read in the manual. 1.Start BPC Administration, and from the Administration Configuration action pane, select Manage activity audit 2. Select Enable Admin Activity to record all administrative activity, and select Enable user activity to record all end user activity. Click Update.
But when i try to create a Report with this steps: 1. From u2018Getting Startedu2019 mode within BPC Web select Launch BPC reporting console from the action pane. Select Audit Activity Report from the AppSet Reports section of the action pane. In the step 2 I cant do anything because it appears this: BPC System Report Options - What type of BPC report would you like to create?
There is no report So I dont undestand what happen because i have followed all steps. In the same way when I configure the data audit and put it enable, i cant 'publish audit report' because its open a windows that: 'FAILED'. I know that my issue is easy, but i cant resolve, so Any sugestions, please? Hi, We are in the process of installing BPC-NW for a client. Please could you advise us on the requirements in the following scenarios: - 1. We use BPC Excel and web interface and not SAP BI web reports or Enterprise portal. In this case do we need to install NW Java stack as well or we can manage with just ABAP stack.

Thanks in advance, SSC. Hi All, I am using NW 7.5, Sp15 and have turned on Data audit for a category in my bpc application. Is there a way to look at the detailed report in BW?
When i use transaction UJU_AUDDATAHDR, it only tells me if a package was run or data was entered. But i'm trying to get the detailed log of the signed data changed for each intersection. I remember seeing this detailed level activity by going to view data audit report in web interface but for some reason when i run the report in web interface it just opens a blank page. I was wondering if its stored anywhere in BW tables as a backup? HI All, We are on BPC 10 NW with sp08, we just migrated from BPC 7.5 NW, in older version we have some input forms based on MBR_SEQ, we are in a virtue of not migrating our reports or schedules, we just want to adjust older version reports and adjust macros for refresh and send. Since we have used MBR_SEQ property value to sequence our memebers in Reprots and schedule and which is not available in BPC 10 NW how to avail MBR_SEQ functionality is it i have to use custom property or else i can use system give property. Thank you all in advance Regards RK.
Hi All, This may be true when we try to rebuild the input form /report in BPC 10. Because all these options won't be available when I try to open a BPC 7.5 report using EPM addin.
Since MBR_SEQ is not available for the dimension in BPC 10, i would lose the sorting on MBR_SEQ in a BPC 7.5 report opened in EPM 10. With in the dimension, the members are in the right order, but when the expansion happens it doesn't maintain the same order as in the dimension while displaying in the report.
For this scenario is there a way to display the members in report in same order as they exist in dimension? Hello, I am doing an audit of a company that has recently implemented SAP BPC system.
I would like to understand what type of changes can be made to this system. Our IT group told us that no code changes or enhancements can be made to SAP BPC system, but I am wondering if there are other types of changes that can be made. Can users modify financial reports in SAP BPC system? Are there other types of changes that can be made? Should these changes follow change management procedure?
I am trying to understand what is the potential risk of making any changes and whether change management procedure should exist for these changes. Appreciate any insights on this. Thanks, Tony. Hi, in BPC 7.5 when creating a report in Excel I could use the after_range (or before_range) to create empty columns for visual separation in my reports.
For example, I have a report that shows TIME and CURRENCY in columns which all twelve months of a year each for LC and EUR. In 7.5 I would use an after_range on the CURRENCY dimension so that the report would shows the columns in groups of 2 with a blank column in between. How can I achieve the same in BPC 10 MS via the EPM Add-In? Thanks, Arnold. Hi people, we have got troubles with audit data.
There is a huge amount of data in audit data table /1CPMB/AAXXXAD, causing problems with table space. In Web Admin we set up parameter 'Set purge frequency Keep audit records for 30 Days' in hope, that system will automatically clear older data, but it doesnt. After investigating we found possiblity to archive this audit data using BPC package /CPMB/ARCHIVE_DATA. It works fine, it moves data into archive /1CPMB/AAXXXAD_A. But it is not solving our problem with table space, cos now there is huge amount of data in archive table.
We dont need archived data anymore, so wed like to delete them from archive /1CPMB/AAXXXAD_A for good. Is there any possibility, e.g BPC package, how to clear archive audit data?
Or how to clear audit data permanently with using parameter 'Set purge frequency Keep audit records for XXDays'? We are on BPC NW 7.5 SP07. Thanks much for your advices.
We have been running BPC v10 (MS) for several months. We just recently started using the BPC-Web reporting functionality (mainly use BPC-Excel).
I have noticed right away that some formulas in BPC-Web reports do not show up on my reports. And, it appears to be random. For instance, the calculation of gross margin (margin/sales) works fine in BPC-Excel. However, when i create a report in BPC-Web for the display the same data, the figure is often not displayed. I have accounts in my rows, and category in columns. I do see data for my actual column of data, but nothing in plan or forecast.
Yet, I have verified data exists by running BPC-Excel reports with same parameters. To make matters more confusing, when the 'chart and report' option is selected in BPC-Web, the chart accurately reflects the proper data, it is just not shown on the report. For example, my report in BPC-Excel shows this GM% act pln fcst ly widgets 8% 9% 10% 19% However, the same report created in BPC-Web shows this: act pln fcst ly widgets 19% However, the chart in the BPC-Web report accurately reflects the proper percentages of 8%, 9%,10%, 19% The GM% is a simple formula calcation mantained in the stat accounts in the account dimension. Anyone have any ideas how to correct this in the BPC-Web reports? Hi Basis Gurus,We have an requirement here that the client wants to know that the whether the reports for a given period are in use (working) or not.I think we can do it when we have audit logging activated, but now we dont have audit logging activated now.Let me give you an example belowSuppose for past 1 year 100 reports are prepared and out of 100 reports 95 reports are not working and remaining 5 reports are working. How can i get the detials from the SAP system without audit logging activated. Please help meRegards,Anil.
