Love the game, hated the multiplayer match-up? Then you're in luck: electronic arts just released a patch for its great world war ii era first-person shooter, medal of honor: allied assault. The patch includes several changes, but the most important one is an in-game server browser that allows you to fish for multiplayer games without having to shut down the game and load gamespy–how annoying was that? The patch also tries to correct lag and more server support.

The one downside to the patch is that the in-game browser lists all games, but you will only be able to join games that have the patch installed. So, the darn patch so i can fill ya full of holes already. By the way, mohaa is a great game–a step below for single player and a step above for multiplayer, if you ask me. Possibly on certain levels with more activity, eg. More polygons, your cpu is having to do more work and thus heating as they normally do. If you dont have a nice cpu fan it can cause problems such as gray screen pop ups or freezes, and various other abnormalities.

It dawned on me the other day, opengl doesn't support multiple monitor systems. It was never a problem until i bought my dual vga geforce 4 ti4200. I went into the advanced settings and changed the multidisplay hardware acceleration to single device. Do not try to wait around, because the explosion blasts will kill you. Just keep running and firing short bursts to stagger the soldiers and then blow past them.

Just keep moving, only quicksave when you find fresh medi packs. In the final room, when you come up the elevator, do not loiter in the room. Move out, shoot the enemies as best you can, then get outside, find some cover and work your way out to the waiting train with your buddiesbut be careful, there is a sniper in a tower i think. It really debunks the whole experience for me now because that means i can't hear the weapons. They are completely silent. Gfx/2d/backtile.tga (12:10am est tue may 06 2003) boys and girls, i have found the reason behind the annoying “tried to read from a zip file gfx/2d/backtile.tga that was not open” unfortunately none of you are going to like it. The error is caused by a corrupted pak0.pk3 file in main sub directory of the game.

Its a corrupted iso file that you downloaded. I used winrar to try to open the file to see if i could repair or replace the corrupted files using the single player demo of the game. The only solution is to either find a new iso file (this is the only copy of mohaa i have found on any p2p software). So go buy a legit copy or get a copy from a friend.

Example: if you are trying to fix a problem with maps/dm/mohdm3.min search for the pak file that has mohdm3.min and apply the fix below to that file. Any way here goes: 1.

Go to your mohaa main file eg c:program filesea gamesmohaamain 2. Locate the pak5.pk3 file and wuse winrar to open it.

Click on commands then click repair archive, make sure treat the corrupt archive as zip option is selected 4. Click ok to begin repair process. Close winrar 6.

Open the dos command prompt: click start then run type:cmd.exe 7. Type c:program filesea gamesmohaamain 8. Type dir/w to pull up a list of all the files 9. Type del pak5.pk3 10. Find the rconstructed file you should see a file that looks like this _reconst.zip (note:i may not have used the correct name for this file).

Type: rename repairzipname.zip pak5.pk3 11. Thats it your done. Tell me if this works! It has been my pleasure to assist all you die hard gamers like myself out there.

I don't even get an error. I uninstall spearhead and it still doesn't work.

I have to uninstall all of it and start over. Then the same thing happens. I was running them all fine a while ago. The only thing i have done differently is install the newest drivers for me gforce ti4200 128mb card.

They came with battlefield vietnam. I don't understand why this is happening. I have another computer right here that runs mohaa and both expansions no problem. I also updated to the same video drivers on my other computer.

Im loading mohaa. It loads fine.

When i click to start it, it changes my screen resolution and returns to the deskytop. Then the box appears saying, start in safe mode, start in normal mode etc. But whn i click one of them, it starts the entrance screen for mohaa and then returns to my overly sized desktop. I have all up to date video cards etc – by marky help (9:16am est sat oct 14 2006) its me again and ive looked up everything but i still can't get noclip wuss or dog to work and how do you get the four secret allied models it says to type the playermodel cheat and i did but all i got was the same ones i didnt get no secret ones im not sure which one to believe because when i look up different things i get different answers of how to make the cheats work like some tell me to save and reload it others tell me i dont have to once again help!! I need to know the real answer of how to get cheats work – by yo.
